Hi beautiful soul! Welcome to my story.

My name is Munirah and it means ‘luminous’ or ‘glowing’.

 

 

My spiritual awakening began in 2018....

I was in the hospital due to a chronic illness flare-up. At this point, I had already been diagnosed with four autoimmune illnesses so I thought "No big deal". That was until the doctor entered my room with my blood results and said, "If you leave this hospital right now, you may die."

SH*T GOT REAL. I was highly upset, confused, shocked. I thought, "How could I die now?! I am only 28 years old!"

Leading to The Power of Now

As I spiralled into a mild depression and anxiety-filled thoughts, a concerned friend shared "The Power of Now" by spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle.

My life changed, including receiving numerous insights and seeing how disconnected I was from my body and from the present moment. How unhappy and unfulfilled I was. How my mind was always either reliving in the past or worrying about the future. (Does this sound familiar?!)

Reconnecting with my body, mind, heart and soul

I went on a journey of self-inquiry to uncover layers of myself and to learn the truth about who I am. My personal yoga practice had a fundamental shift as I incorporated subtle energy practices like chanting, mantras, mudras, kundalini, chakras, etc. I went DEEP into this practice and wanted to learn everything there was to learn.

Gratitude in everything

The outcome? Besides living life in the present moment, I have truly come to see my own power and my divinity. I've learnt how to reconnect with my body, mind, heart and soul and as a result, discovered the meaning of inner peace. My health crisis blessed me with great wisdom that I am SOUL grateful for.

These lessons I've learnt and embodied are my guiding points during the classes I teach.

And as your teacher, I will guide you to reconnect with your body, mind, heart and soul so that YOU can discover your own power, your divinity and ultimately live your own luminous life with abundance, gratitude and relaxation.

I first booked Luminous Yoga Life as complementary practice to my exercise regime - but her classes ended up offering more than just the stretches I thought I wanted.
