I first booked Luminous Yoga Life as complementary practice to my exercise regime - but her classes ended up offering more than just the stretches I thought I wanted. She made each class specific to my needs - be it spending more time on certain stretches, breathwork, meditation and even theory lessons on why we do what we do. I found that so useful and enriching!

It was so good that I engaged Munirah to conduct a class for my group of friends on my birthday so that we could all enjoy the benefits of her practice. Even in a group setting, she made sure we all understood her instructions and made corrections individually. I highly recommend Munirah if you’re looking for a practice catered to your individual needs and to illuminate your knowledge on yoga.

I have been practicing yoga for many years, however I found Munirah’s classes to be especially holistic, focusing not just on the body, but mind as well. After every session I felt very relaxed and had a good night’s sleep! As a teacher, Munirah is patient, understanding and flexible in tailoring the lesson to what I felt my body needed that particular session. Ending each session with Munirah playing the Tibetan singing bowl was a lovely way to finish each class. I would definitely recommend Munirah’s classes!

I had private classes with Munirah and it was more than I expected and imagined it would be. I had back pain from sitting down and working on my laptop all day. She fixed my problem after just one class. She was patient and paid detailed attention to my body and posture. I felt great after each class and my stretches were getting better and better. The best part of it all is the last few minutes of singing bowl session where I got to relax my body, mind and soul. Highly recommended!

Luminous Yoga Life helped me so much with my mental & physical well-being! I suffered from horrible backaches post-pregnancy due to epidural & my back didn't seem to improve till I tried yoga. Munirah helped me focus on lower back exercises which helped strengthen my back & relieve my backaches. It's amazing what a little everyday does for you in the long run!

Living in a fast-paced Singapore also makes me a very stressed up & anxious person! But yoga has helped me with that, however it's so important to meditate daily as advised by Munirah! The private classes with Munirah were awesome. I had never done yoga before and she was very accommodating to that. She fully assessed my abilities and based on what I wanted to achieved she then structured the classes. I managed to do the crow pose which I never thought I'd be able to do. Munirah is very genuine and conducts her class with her love. I like how she brings forward the spiritual aspects and emphasises on them too when she can see I'm engaged. I honestly loved her classes and am gutted she left Singapore. I highly recommend her private classes.

"I am stronger and more flexible day by day".
I have heard of yoga for many years, but never tried it until I met Munirah. I always thought yoga was for young people because it required a lot of flexibility. I thought I was too old to try it. Because of Covid-19, I needed to improve and strengthen my immune system, so I decided to try yoga.

Munirah came to me, understood my body, and then guided me step by step for two months (weekly). My fear of yoga has disappeared and I am more confident to practice it. I am stronger and more flexible day by day. I was even able to stand upside down in a few weeks. This was something I could only do when I was 20 years old. Yoga is amazing. I have fallen in love with this practice at 55 years old. I am sorry it took me this long. Thank you Munirah for bringing yoga to me.

Munirah’s Yin Yoga Workshop was an immensely refreshing experience. This session was a deeper experience than the usual stretch you get from a yoga class as it was emotionally and mentally revitalising as well. It weaved reflection questions and statements to ponder on between softly held stretching poses which allowed me to quieten my mind and really focus on how I was feeling and what I truly wanted in that present moment. It was perfect for someone whose mind is often buzzing with ideas and to-do lists. Today was my third session of private online yoga with Munirah and it has been such an amazing experience. We have been working on posture, awareness, strength, and flexibility. "The one and a half hours together felt like a holiday."
"I absolutely loved Munirah's private yoga classes! Due to my stressful job my body is always quite tense but after her class it felt super relaxed. Munirah really gave me all of her attention and gently offered help when I needed it - her calm and relaxed way of talking during the different poses made me feel comfortable and warm. At the start of class she asked about my situation and my problems with different parts of my body and then adjusted her class accordingly. The one and a half hours together felt like a holiday. "As I have a previous ankle injury, Munirah ensures that I don't feel any pain when doing poses."
Her lessons are very guided and professionally done even though it's an online based setting with us being in different time zones. The level of professionalism is similar to classes I have attended earlier conducted in yoga studios. As I have a previous ankle injury, Munirah is very attentive to my needs and ensures that I don't feel any pain when doing poses.

I feel very safe under her guidance. She is very patient and she is able to spot and correct the way poses are being done even in an online setting, which is amazing! Albeit being a beginner in yoga, she encourages me to go deeper in a pose if it allows as she has seen my body's capabilities. Absolutely recommend Munirah.

I had my first prenatal yoga class with Munirah. She is a professional and caring instructor. She took time to explain the changes happening to my body and how we can work together to prepare it. Even though the class was done virtually, she was able to correct my postures and gave clear cues, it's almost like being in a studio together! "To her, yoga is not just about getting into the fancy poses."
Munirah’s passion for yoga comes through in her teachings. To her, yoga is not just about getting into the fancy poses. She notices when students have trouble with breathing exercises and promptly offers breath work classes to strengthen the lungs. It’s such small gesture but I feel it’s so important; she's one of the few teachers I know that pays attention to breathing techniques.

She caters to varying levels of practitioners and offers adjustments accordingly in a group setting. She’s aware of students’ injuries and offers alternative poses without being prompted. I also like how she pays close attention to alignment. Even though the classes are virtual and she can’t physically adjust us, there’s still a lot of emphasis on alignment and ensuring that we are practicing safely. I recommend her classes!

"My body felt lighter and instantly energised."
Yesterday I attended an online private yoga class with Munirah via Zoom. I realised after the session it was exactly what I needed.
It almost felt like I just ended a massage session. My lower back was thanking me and overall my body felt lighter and instantly energised.
Although the session was conducted via Zoom, Munirah was very attentive to my posture and alignment at each pose.

This is my first time trying private yoga. Munirah really observed how I behaved and pointed out some old habits I do unconsciously. It's really nice to have someone offering her eyes and attention to your every move, spiritually and physically. I liked especially the final touch of singing bowl in the end, which was so peaceful and pure that helped me concentrate on my breath and myself only. Highly recommended!
